About Destin Parks Foundation
Our Story
The Destin Parks Foundation was born from a shared love of Destin and a deep belief in the power of parks to strengthen communities, promote wellness, and preserve natural beauty. In January 2024, a dedicated group of citizens came together around a vision: to create a nonprofit that would harness the generosity of Destin residents and visitors to support, enhance, and expand the city’s parks.
Throughout 2024, the founding board of directors worked with purpose and passion—crafting a mission and vision, laying a strong foundation for growth, and applying for 501(c)(3) status. In January 2025, the Foundation was officially recognized as a nonprofit organization.
This all-volunteer effort operates independently while collaborating closely with the City of Destin. The Foundation is guided by a commitment to transparency, responsible stewardship, and long-term sustainability. The work began with a bold idea—but 2025 is just the beginning. The Destin Parks Foundation is building a legacy that will enrich lives, connect generations, and protect Destin’s green spaces for years to come.

Financials & Transparency
The Destin Parks Foundation is committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of all donor contributions. As a newly formed nonprofit, we are in our first year of operation and do not yet have a full calendar year of financials to report. Once available, we will share our annual financial statements and filings on this page to ensure our supporters can see how funds are being used to advance our mission.
